Prezentując kolejną dawkę klasycznych zestawów Lego z mojej kolekcji, pozostaję w serii Town i połowie lat 90tych. Dwa zestawy z 1994 roku o tej samej szybkiej tematyce Hot Rod. 6538 Rebel Roadster składający się z 57 elementów i 1 minifiga oraz 6561 Hot Rod Club składający się z 237 elementów i 3 minifigów. Ta sama tematyka, te same przerobione klasyki na szybkie i śliczne bestie. Któż nie lubi Hot Rodów? I przyznam, że te z 1994 roku mimo 4 studów szerokości dają radę! Pierwszy zestaw to czarno – czerwona bestia. Bardzo dobra linia z podwyższonym tyłem i pustą powierzchnią za kabiną. Tors figurki, to jakby skórzana kurtka, więc jest mega klimatycznie. Drugi, większy zestaw to wyraźne odniesienie do klimatów nadmorskich, które królowały w tym okresie w Town. Wystarczy spojrzeć na naklejki w zestawie. Składa się on z niewielkiej konstrukcji półotwartego warsztatu, gdzie znajdziemy sporo wyposażenia, a nawet zimne napoje. Do tego dwa hot rody i czarny motor. Pojazdy o różnej konstrukcji, ale tej samej linii i wielkości idealnie pasującej do 6538 (co widać na zdjęciach poniżej). Jeden z nich to żółty pojazd z naklejką w tylnej części, drugi ponownie czarno – czerwony z dużymi rurami wydechowymi. Figurki, to dwóch kierowców (ponownie klimatyczne kurtki na torsie) oraz mechanik. Zestawy świetne, razem wyglądające idealnie. Znane, lubiane i bawialne. Doskonale oddają klimat ówczesnego tropikalnego Lego Town. Dla mnie to pozycje typu must have.
Presenting another dose of classic Lego sets from my collection, I stay in the Town series and the mid-90s. Two sets from 1994 with the same fast-paced Hot Rod theme. 6538 Rebel Roadster consisting of 57 elements and 1 minifig and 6561 Hot Rod Club consisting of 237 elements and 3 minifigs. Same themes, same reworked classics into fast and cute beasts. Who doesn’t like Hot Rods? And I must admit that those from 1994, despite being 4 studs wide, do the trick! The first set is a black and red beast. Very good line with raised rear and empty area behind the cabin. The figure’s torso is like a leather jacket, so it’s super atmospheric. The second, larger set is a clear reference to the coastal climates that reigned in Town at that time. Just look at the stickers in the kit. It consists of a small structure of a semi-open workshop, where we will find a lot of equipment and even cold drinks. Plus two hot rods and a black bike. Vehicles of different construction, but the same line and size that perfectly match the 6538 (as you can see in the pictures below). One of them is a yellow vehicle with a sticker on the back, the other is again black and red with large exhaust pipes. The figures are two drivers (again atmospheric jackets on the torso) and a mechanic. Great sets that look perfect together. Known, liked and fun. They perfectly reflect the atmosphere of the then tropical Lego Town. For me, these are must-have items.
